There is an anomaly with the cup rules with regard to this years Hulme Cup. As the quarter finals were not scheduled to be played until January, this means that a player could be registered to play in that round but could not play in the semi or final as the rule states they must be registered by 31/12. This is clearly unfair and the decision of the executive, for this season, is that a player qualified to play in an earlier round may play in a semi final or final as long as all other conditions are met.
